I saw this on the product store yesterday, it all looks so awesome! <3 I can't wait to get them.~ The buildings are just beautiful, and those characters look very nice. Not to mention more Sci-Fi stuff!~

I hear you, Hotfirelegend ;) I did wonder how certain things do not bounce around in combat, ahem.

But out of curiosity, "male cleavage"? Don't men go shirtless all the time?

Just wanted to say also I am definitely eyeing the Dark Hero and Sci-Fi Audio packs next. So good!

The guy warrior has a cut-out, much like the female warrior did. I just made a bit of covering piece to carry on his armour underneath, and the same for the girl. Basically, just a recolour and a copy of the red line around the rest of the armour, and it all fit.

EDIT: For reference of the original I refer to, see picture 1 on the product image page.

Got the fantastic buildings and sci-fi tiles. Both are quite gorgeous! I'm working on re-doing my first town a bit to replace a bunch of RTP-style buildings with some Celianna buildings. Thankfully, the two graphical styles seem to blend OK with a little work.

I do have a bit of a complaint about the fantastic buildings, though. I'm actually very surprised at how non-modular they are. I've been trying to combine pieces from different buildings in both the city and rural tiles to switch things up a bit, and it's proving difficult at best. Even loading things into Photoshop, it's taking a lot more work than I would have expected to combine pieces of different buildings, especially with the larger buildings. I see there's some parts that can swap out easily enough (i.e. some wall segments), but combining different roof selections or making buildings with overall shapes that don't match what's in there (such as a larger U-shaped hall) seems nearly impossible.

I suppose it's entirely possible I'm just not understanding how this tileset works for customizing things, but if that's not the case, any chance of some kind of tutorial or tweak?

If I remember the discussion from that thread, Allerka, I don't think the pack was supposed to be completely modular. The idea behind it was to save people time and let them use just the preset buildings. Just drop and map.

Those with a little knowledge of an art editing programme, however, are free to mix and match however they please. Which is how I like it. That's why I'm grateful for the extra parallax sheet.

Oh, I get and don't mind buildings being totally ready to go and "plug and play" as it were, but the lack of modular elements is making it harder to increase the number of those buildings. Even my tiny "starter town in the wilderness" has several dozen buildings, and I could blow through the entire set of both kinds trying to fill just that one town. The parallax sheet only adds a few things I can't find in the tileset.

Maybe I can do some work and break this tileset down into more modular parts or something, get it more parallax-friendly. Hmm...

I don't have the fantasy building pack yet, but from the looks of it, you have to do some editing on your own, do make it more modular. I don't even know if that can achieved at all, but you can certainly edit a preset in a way that it looks different than the original. I assume, that you have to do this for every building you want to place.

I still think, it would have been better to make it modular from the start and offer the decorations all seperately, but I get that some of the details and building styles would not have been possible with a modular approach.

Even if the pack wasn't really ment for mappers like me, I can't wait to get it and cut up all those houses and edit them :D

@Luna: Am I allowed to share the 'censors' to put on top of the original images - as the original image itself is not actually shared in the 'censor'? (Basically, for example, the male bust 'censor' thing is a small covering thing that goes on a specific location, but it is basically unusable on its own if the person does not own the original)

I can message them to you if you like so you can see what I've done and so that you can see what I mean more clearly?

NB: Using the word 'censor' because I can't think of a better word at this time...

I've been watching and waiting for the contest to come out, but haven't found it on the forums. Please don't leave me out, I haven't won yet! (Overdramaticism is kicking in)

Any chance these will go up for non-RM licensing in the future?  The sci-fi tiles would go great with the futuristic tile pack.  I'd certainly have to purchase it if so.

Yes, at some point. I don't have any ETAs at the moment, however. :)
That is great news.  I'm eagerly looking forward to the non-rm release.  Thanks for the heads up!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
