Hello again. I'm looking for a way to disable screen tint around selected event (e.g. lamps, fire etc.) to make them appear brighter. I found such script for RMVX Ace in this thread but I can't find similar one that would work with MV. Could you help me please?

I've moved this thread to Plugin Requests. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

@slimmmeiske2 it was not exactly a plugin request per se. I'm just looking for any way to achieve this effect in RMMV, regardless of whether the plugin is used or not.

Events are drawn on a layer that is affected by tint, as much as you can probably write a set of script calls to redraw an event sprite in a different layer, writing it on a plugin tapping into the sprite drawing function itself sounds as a better and more efficient way.

I don't believe it to be possibe without a plugin, hence why I moved it here.
Sure, no problem. I was just explaining why I originally posted it in a diferrent forum.

Unfortunately, I have no programming skills to do that myself...

Did you try the plugin suggested by @Eliaquim ? Does it do what you want, or are you still looking?
I've checked it but there are lots of various parameters and I'm not sure how to use it to achieve the effect I want.

Then maybe try it first, study the parameters/options given by that plugin, and ask for help if you have problems with it.

If you shy away because it has so many parameters, what if the next plugin we give you also has many parameters?

@Engr. Adiktuzmiko It's not like I'm discouraged just by seeing so many parameters. But if after reading the plugin's documentation I still don't know how to tackle the problem it's probably intended for more advanced users than me. I'm looking for a simple one that would allow me to simply ignore the tint over a particular event by entering something in the event's note box (e.g. "notint").

Sometimes there is no "simple" way, YET.. or sometimes there is simply no "simple" way..

You could always ask Eliaqium to guide you on how to use it. xD

Anyway, I agree that the plugin he suggested seems to be way overboard because its for making customized "filters", so if you're gonna use that for what you want, you would probably end up needing to make filters using it instead of map tint..

Sadly I also cannot (at this time at least) turn my Ace script (which you've found) into an MV JS plugin so we will need to find another plugin for this..
