So basically I want a script that makes it to where enemies attack without waiting forever for the player to make a choice but one attack must not be made immediately after another no more then 3 consecutive times. I'm thinking at least 3 to 5 seconds between each attack.

This will force the player to having to act fast in order to win. The slower you are at making a decision, the more likely you are to lose the fight.

NOTE: This script will be used in a commercial game.

In other words, there is Master script list, there are a lot of scripts doing stuff out there,

you should check them out. ;)

Google is your friend, even bing. It can search through this very forum and many more.

Sorry, but that is extremely rude - why do you expect us to waste our free time on helping you instead of working on our own projects, if you aren't even willing to put in five minutes to search for yourself?
Especially if the existing scripts might not be exactly what you want, and you have to check for yourself which is the best compromise anyway?

Sorry,

I'm not trying to be rude. I just want the script.

Also I'm really not good at searching for myself anyway.

If the script exists, just give me a directly link to it, that's all I ask. :)

No, such a script does NOT exist - but there are several other scripts that use timed mechanics, they just add a lot more than that what you want.

That's why you have to check for yourself which of those scripts you might be interested to use - and following the link to the master script list and then checking each of the about a dozen battlescripts linked there does not require knowledge in searching, it only requires reading all the linked pages.

And again, no one can do that for you because we don't know your plans and your game - you have to do that for yourself.

Get one of the ATB scripts out there... Most of them has a no_wait mode.

PS: Been watching your last few requests and you do seem to be quite bossy when it comes to your requests. Do that for a few more times and I'm sure fewer and fewer people will even look at your threads.

That's what i decided I am going to do.

And I wont argue with that. That's one of my flaws. Something I need to work on. I blame my step-mother and my father but mostly myself.

The other thing that concerns me is that you've been asking for an awful lot of free stuff lately, to be used in a commercial game.

Even people who are making FREE games at least do a bit of searching and testing things out themselves before asking for help. If you ask for a script because you don't want to go to the trouble of searching, you know what the person has to do who helps you? They have to go to that trouble and search for you. What do they get for their time? Nothing. What would YOU get for your time if you searched? Well, you have a commercial game at the end that is going to bring in money for you (hopefully).

There are some people who, understandably, don't want to spend their time making something (or searching for something), when you're going to make a profit from their efforts but none of that profit is going to make it back to the people who helped you.

It's fine to ask for SOME things for free, but you really should consider commissioning some stuff - especially a battle script if you want it to be written from scratch.

I'm not saying people won't help you for free. Maybe you'll get really lucky and get ALL your stuff done for free. At least you're being up-front and letting people know it's going to be used in a commercial game, to give them the option of helping or not based on their feelings in that area :)

I agree with you completely. That's what I am going to start doing from now on.

Also as stated before in a different topic I would do commissions if I actually had the money, but I don't make more than a measly allowance of $15 a week and I'm real bad when it comes to saving up money. I'm hoping to change my financial situation with my game and get a one man entertainment business going.

I feel like this is my destiny (my purpose in life if you will) and I need the help of others to make it.

I suggest you take your time to create something else first, then use that to boost awareness of people about you. Then maybe some people would be willing to help you start up.

Or make progress to your game for now, then put up a kickstarter and hopefully you'd get money to use for commissions.

I feel kickstarter would be a bad idea for personal reasons.

But I do feel like I have almost everything I need for my game.

Well, this is a good idea. Many people just do nothing and curse their "bad luck" instead of trying something.

You are doing something for that situation you are in and I hope you will succeed.

Even if you fail, you tried.  ;)   :thumbsup-right:

Trying something is one step near success anyway.

If that is your first game, you better make as first a small one, and put it here, asking to tear it apart in criticism. Thus everyone will tell you what is wrong with it. In that way you can collect information on how you should make a good game. You take this info, you turn that small first game into a gem, and then you have just learned a lot on how to make a good game.

Being one person doing everything is not easy.

And it needs a LOT of work to make a game someone would give money to get.

Best advertisement is as said before a free game to draw the attention of the public anyway.

Wish you good luck!  :)

I believe that hardwork can, in a sense, make good "luck". (Note I don't actually believe in luck. It's just one of those 'in lack of a better word' situations.)

As for the game itself, I plan to hire game testers. I already have 4 people would said they would be more than happy to test my game and I have stated that I will pay them after a certain period of time once it goes on sale. They don't seem to have a problem with that.

This is a good attitude. Actually I express this fact in another way! "Hard work increase your luck and also the odds of success".

Luck exists, in Statistics (as science) only. It's just in theory, and it means that some things just can't be predicted.

There are some things that are unpredictable because of the lack of information, the nature of that thing creates.

Okay this becomes complicated.

Let's stay to the fact that our actions determine our future.

And you have the power and the potential to do something great.

My perception makes me assume you are a teenager or near that age.

If I am correct, you got a lot of time in front of you to prove yourself.

Just believe in yourself and asking kindly for help 75% of the time you will get what you ask for.

Except if you ask for money.  :p  Then it turn to 5% LOL.

No joke here being kind instead of bossy, doesn't show weakness. This "weakness" thing is a delusion.

Being kind makes you more acceptable and charming. Thus you add the odds to be liked by others.

If YOU like somebody, YOU WANT to help him/her out.

Nobody is needed to force, persuade or order you to do something.

You volunteer.  ;)   Same goes for the others too.  ;)

And it is possible, that this person you like, is a leader, and not just called a boss.

Boss is a title forced to be accepted at a work enviroment.

Being a leader is a feat. And leadership is a skill, an art to inspire people, you need no title for this trust me.

The best thing to happen to you, is your boss being a leader.

I believe you just had no information on this.

I also believe people are bossy, just because nobody told them there is another way.

I really believe that you can obtain an inspiring attitude, if you think about it.

And you look like a smart person @StarWarrior00. I wouldn't waste my time writing this to an idiot right?

You are smart indeed.

So here is a picture that shows such differences. Business people PAY people to teach them leadership skills.

Learning this might make your whole life easier.

I can not guarantee you anything.

But being kind kind to others made ME stronger in the long run.

And this might make the difference for you too.  :)

I just leave this picture here, it's nice to share info with everyone.

NOTE TO SELF:

Stop derailing a thread, by telling random stuff. :p

Back on topic:

You can check ATB systems and implement one in your game.

You can search scripts made from Yanfly, Yami, Fomar0153, and also some of CP also known as Neon Black.

Neon Black is also a scripter that takes commissions. In my signature there is a link to his shop, if you need his services in the future.

Cheers

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
