Hello, I've searched all over. But I cannot find exactly what I'm looking for. On my project I want to make the battlers and characters seem as they're flying around, and basically what I'm trying to describe is for example... The battle against Marx in Kirby Superstar Ultra, http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Isw8b9Zp-U8 (ignore the first 15-16 seconds)

Basically I'm looking for a scrolling background, any way I can do that it is there a script for such?

Thanks in advance.

1. Select the map you want to have the moving background.

2. Right-click and go to Map Properties.

3. Go to Parallax Background.

4. Go to Graphics.

5. Choose a background (This will be the moving background).

6. Select Loop Horizontal or Vertical.

7. Auto scroll up to 1 to try or other numbers to speed it up.

That should be it.

Oh, I see it's for the maps, I know about that but does it apply to battlebacks as well?

Oh, that's a shame, well, I guess I'll make due with what I've got. Thanks.

well you could just try to add another method to Scene_Battle's update method which then moves the background

Well you can try:

class Spriteset_Battle #-------------------------------------------------------------------------- # * Create Battle Background (Floor) Sprite #-------------------------------------------------------------------------- def create_battleback1 @back1_sprite = Plane.new(@viewport1) @back1_sprite.bitmap = battleback1_bitmap @back1_sprite.z = 0 center_sprite(@back1_sprite) end #-------------------------------------------------------------------------- # * Create Battle Background (Wall) Sprite #-------------------------------------------------------------------------- def create_battleback2 @back2_sprite = Plane.new(@viewport1) @back2_sprite.bitmap = battleback2_bitmap @back2_sprite.z = 1 center_sprite(@back2_sprite) end #-------------------------------------------------------------------------- # * Update Battle Background (Floor) Sprite #-------------------------------------------------------------------------- def update_battleback1 @back1_sprite.ox += 2 end #-------------------------------------------------------------------------- # * Update Battle Background (Wall) Sprite #-------------------------------------------------------------------------- def update_battleback2 @back2_sprite.ox += 2 end #-------------------------------------------------------------------------- # * Move Sprite to Screen Center #-------------------------------------------------------------------------- def center_sprite(sprite); end endI asked someone to do that for you since I don't know it myself.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
