Script 'game party' line 251: ArgumentError occurred. comparison of NilClass with 1 failed

I have no idea what could be causing this. I know nothing about scripting.

Scripts is for presenting scripts you wrote yourself.


Such an error can only happen if either the default scripts were damaged/modified or if you tried (and failed) to install a script correctly.


If you tried to install a script, please follow the link "how to use a script" in my signature to learn where you might have made a mistake.


If you haven't installed scripts and suspect the engine scripts were damaged (for example by a windows crash), then make a new project and copy the script file from its data folder into your project, that will delete all script additions or modifications and force the scripts back to default.

um ... what engine are you using?


None of XP, VX or Ace have a line 251 that could cause that error.


Have you modified the default scripts?  Have you added custom scripts that you downloaded?  We need some more info about what you've done.

Apparently the original file was damaged. idk how that could happen i did not edit the original file. I think the problem is fixed.

Could just be an issue when you saved.  When you save, the entire database and script file are saved, as well as the map you're currently working on or any that you have been working on.
