I am using Galv's Region Effects (for VX Ace) to have player characters leave footprints in sand/snow, rustle grass as they walk through, and similar events. These events are triggered according to regions.
The script works fine and I have things running for the player, but I would like for other events (like wandering NPC's) to also trigger these same events. It would be nice to have wandering creatures 'disappear' in tall grass, with nothing but the rustling animation to indicate something is there, or have town's people leave footprints as they walk in the snow.
I have played around with the script to try to modify it myself, but I really struggle with understanding Ruby.
