Scripting Edit

Hello everyone,

I want to know if it's bad to edit a script from Yanfly and change a bit the appearance of script and names.

Can anyone tell me?

I'm new here so I don't know much of this.

Script edits aren't necessarily bad, but you may later encounter issues with other scripts that don't expect any changes you've made. A good idea when editing scripts is to actually make the edits in a separate script slot below the script you're actually editing. This was if you want to check if a change you did is causing a problem, it is simply a matter of commenting out your changes instead of getting a new copy of the base script.

Yes since it's still their script even if you did some edits.

Most likely, as you're probably still using a large portion of their original script.
