So umm... Hi~

I'm new to this site + community. I'm an adept artist, working in a unprofessional group to create an RPG game project. I have used RPG Maker VX Ace and I know how to do all the basic stuff. Recently I've played a few indie games and have noticed that there are so much more I can do... customize GUI, insert little animations in to the game... etc. I wonder if these changes will require any scripting in the program. If so, I would love to learn. But as a starter I first wanna learn how to do these things first:

  • Change the size of character display in speaking (Ex: to show character's whole body instead of JUST the face)
  • Change the title page's layout (Buttons, background... etc)

Would really appreciate your help~

RMMV
If you actually want to learn scripting, there is a Learning Ruby and RGSSX forum, that can help you get started. However, it's very likely that most of your needs are already available. Take some time to look through the Master Script List, as well as do plenty of searching in the RGSS3 Scripts forum. There are very likely scripts there that did not make it onto the master list.

I do know there are plenty of bust scripts as well as ones that modify title pages in different ways.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
