Hi all here is my list of things (scripts, music, images, icons and tips) necessary for for an awesome out-of-the-box game that people will undoubtedly have mix feelings about completing (after being hooked and pulled all the way to the end of course).
1. A professional look and feel.
(Have a game that you like? try to more or less do what's done in that game, watch gameplays or even play the game and most importantly take notes.)
Some games originated as indie have become very successful financially however most of the time creating games is a time consuming and arduous task. Though it can sometimes be fun and almost (%97.09485) of the time leaves you with an incredibly satisfied feeling upon completion.
That said, things often get worse before they get better so keep it in mind that creating an incredible game will sometimes cost you a pretty penny before they return some if any at all.
2. A non static title screen and ui (user interface).
Something that looks pretty cool and and at the same time gives a hint of what the story-line contains. Title scenes with moving parts are often used but the secret lies in the lighting. Remember that the title screen is also a scene and is in and of itself one of the most important.
3. Story line.
It can often be helpful if, when creating your game you have a storyline or had one before hand. It can often help boost production time.
4. Game mechanics.
Games, especially rpgs are mostly enjoyable because of that certain unique pull created by 3 major things in_game. Story, puzzles, and a battle system.
Puzzles aren't a must in certain games but they can certainly make a game more enjoyable when there's a slight challenge in order to progress in the story.
A battle system that you can either create or afford. (yes you can hire someone to create a battlesystem. )
