There's something that I'd like to set up in several games that I'm working on, but I've yet to find a script which can provide the kind of functionality I'm looking for. Each character has two sets of weapon slots, which can be switched in (and possibly out of) battle via a command.
There would be settings in the script to determine whether characters need to use a turn-using command to switch sets during battle, or if they can use either set via separate attack commands.
Additional settings could be configured via override tags that are placed on items and actors, with several priority levels. The lowest priority level being the settings in the script itself.
There would be a visually distinguishing UI element on the equip screen to tell the two sets apart, such as a slight separation between the sets with "Set 1" and "Set 2" next to each.
This script would need to be moderately compatible with Yanfly Ace Equip Engine and Fomar's Dual Wield -> Free Hands for the projects that I would like to use it with.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
