**Edit 4** Hello! The game is now available to purchase through steam's Early Access, i wanted to come and thank everyone and to update this post since it's no longer in Alpha.

**edit3** With the game being on up green light i'm wanting to get some testing in. i need to make sure all the triggers are working and i want to make sure the balance of the game play is good. I've done extensive testing with a small team of friends but i want to get some general feedback from the community. The download link is further down in the description.

I'm considering this as my open Alpha phase of testing, there is much i still want to do to the game.

Game Synopsis: This game is set in a fantasy setting. The setting starts off with some back history as to events that take place before the start of the game and are general history flavor. Here is a little summary of that history. Four years after the last war between Tamarack and Palentis ended with a stalemate an ambitious Dark Knight threatens to reignite the war. His brother sets out to stop him, and the conflict causes a chain of events that threaten to unravel the balance of the world. A young man gets summoned by the local mayor to investigate a strange cave. What he finds inside will forever change his fate.

The game is a simple classic style JRPG with some eventing for puzzles and secrets, as well as some cut scenes to try and tell the story with plenty of fighting along the way. I have tried to add in many different flavors to the combat system to try and make it feel exciting and less grindy then most RPG's where your just mashing the attack button. I wanted combat to have a flow to it and wanted to give the player options on how to handle each encounter. I also wanted each character to have a theme to them with the main character feeling unique. I'm hoping the diversity of choices will allow each player to get their own experience of the game in a different way. The story is written by me and is set in the distant past to a novel i wrote and self published. The setting takes place in a medieval era where swords and magic rule the kingdom. I wanted people who have read the book a chance to notice certain hints and oooo i see now moments, and for new people to my work the story will provide a good prelude if they play through the game and then decide to read the novel. The novel and Game are intended to relate to each other but both are very much stand alone, and you can have one without the other without missing anything important, but if you're like me and love to have a rich story with both past and "present" available for you to experience then i hope you'll find what you're looking for here.

This is set-up like a general random encounter RPG and is intended to be a story driven game with some fun extras. This demo is only roughly 4 hours of chapter one which is roughly about 14 hours depending on player exploration.

I am looking for feedback on how the game is doing such as, if it's fun, how the story is doing at the start, and basically what the general feel of if the game is in a good direction or not.

Looking for all sorts of feed back here. please don't be afraid to be brutally honest if there is a genuine problem with the game i would like to correct it.

There is a lot of known issues and they are being worked on the biggest one being the grammar and story presentation.

Other known issues include making the maps more interesting and less repetitive. I would however like to know which maps are boring and repetitive so that i can add them to the list to be overhauled. The npc's need to be overhauled as well. their graphics get reuses a lot and i will hopefully be working on that in the next few months as well.

You can get the demo Here. https://radajin.itch.io/secret-of-the-rendrasha-blade-mv-demo

**Edit** had to fix some bugs that showed up, forgot i was messing with some triggers and there was some developer events and a couple bugs. should all be cleared up.

**Edit2** found out i could link my trailer for the game. you can find that here. There is a couple different videos the first two are from when the game was being made in VX Ace, and this is the MV teaser trailer.

Here is some Screen Shots

Those characters look Proper Old Skool, nice, and I like Frank's Guards!

One thing from the screenshots - you might want to tighten up your grammar\spelling a bit...

the maps are too large, there are empty spaces here and there.

why you don't resize it into smaller room, since MV will black-tint it automatically,

and it looks still okay estethically for classic games. in my opinion. ;)

Just fixed a big bug in the demo, apparently MV doesn't move the pictures folder over if you exclude unused files. so i had to manually include certain files to get the game to be fully functional.

Its all fixed now, and lesson learned.

Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
