I have a common event that upon level it asks you what skill you want to upgrade. However the problem is the conditional switch I don't know how I can call the event every time I level up. Any suggestions?

The only way I can think of how to do it at the moment would be to do the following:

Make a Switch, and turn it on at the very beginning of the game.

Set your Common Event to Parallel Process with that Switch as the Condition. (This should make it actively run the length of the game).

I'm interested in how you've got it programmed to detect a level up.

One way you can do this is create your own Battle End/Victory event and attach it to the end of all your Troop Events.

From there you can just do a series of conditional branches that checks for when the player has enough experience points to level.  For example:

If Actor1 Exp = 12

Call Skill Upgrade Event

If Actor1 Exp = 46

Call Skill Upgrade Event and so on...

#Note

The way I do it is manually add my own experience points and gold to the party based on the monster inside the Troop before doing the level up check then abort the battle myself.   But that may not be necessary depending on how you go about it.  Tsukihime  wrote a script that may help you with triggering events after a battle is won, so it might be of use to you for this.

You set a variable to your level and then create a conditional branch for that variable.

Got to go to work will check to see if solution works after work.

Yeah if all you are wanting to do is trigger an event when a character reaches a certain level, all you would have to do is use Game Data/Actor's Level to mirror a variable of your own then do a simple conditional check.

I misunderstood you, and thought you were wanting to create an upgrade skill event during battle when the character levels up.  So you can just disregard my post.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
