I was playing Tyranny (Obsidian's new game) and I was curious to see if their lore system could be replicated in RPGmaker.

During dialogue, some of the text in the text boxes is colored orange or green, then the player has the option to right click on those words. This brings up a separate, floating, window (without exiting the conversation) which has its own text. These boxes then give the lore related context about whatever other characters are talking about, so that the player is never out of the loop.

For example, if there is a line that says "bobby is coming over tomorrow" and Bobby is in green text, the player can right click bobby and the separate text box will say "Bobby is Joe's best friend who did this and this and this when they were in school together."

Hey, I have a system  with a similar way of doing things,  so does  Himeworks.

Mine is called the EIS Ask System.

Himeworks is called Choice Display  Mode. Check  them out; if you want I can add an extension for what you're looking for.

The ask system is awesome! Is there a way to bring up the answers to the "asks" in a separate window? So that it doesn't interrupt the conversation? So if the conversation box is at the bottom third of the screen and I ask about something, the box answering what I've asked will appear at the top third of the screen without affecting the one at the top. Then I press enter, the top box vanishes and I can continue either asking or just continue with the conversation without asking anything.

It's possible to make something like that. If you want a system like that made, or think it would be good for the community.  I can make one like that for the ask system.

I think it'd be an awesome edition. It'll certainly help me and others deliver exposition.

I'd certainly LOVE that.

I'll get to work on that then, putting it on my list.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
