Just finished up some designs for members plus, and already have my assignment for next time; which is a group of dragons I'll be working on along with accompanying sprites.

I've recently started to learn the Time Fantasy style of sprite art and am about to expand some of the monsters I've worked with before into it starting with a kobold.  So far not much success so I'll need to practice more.

Yuri jam will start September 1st and go through till end of October and I'd like to take part in that.  The only requirement is to have an open relationship between two female characters.  Knowing nothing about women and even less about the subject material I'd like for Jayce and Stacy to join up and use their detective skills to accomplish the usual.

I'm trying to finish the first town in my game right now. This is my first game and I'm running into many small problems, and it feels like ounce I try to fix it and it doesn't work I'm just slamming my head against a wall. I'm still having fun though :D

I'd like to get back to work to my big project I've been working on but have started to put off due to all the IGMC stuff going on (development and then playing). I also ended up starting another project with my kid sister to work on as well.

Still would like to finish up a few more IGMC games and review them as well (although I'll probably slow my pace on them now considerably).

There is a yuri jam and I haven't heard about it. :o

My goals are diluted due the whole 'moving to a different continent to live on my own' thing, but I still plan to get some good stuff done.

Goals:

-Repurpose the prologue of World One so that it flows nicely, doesn't confuse the player, and generally seems less convoluted than it currently is.

-Finish the remainder of the nights in the forest area (2-4.5).

-Create a detailed flowchart for Clockwork Battle System.

And that's it. I'll be sketching still, and might post stuff like that from time to time, but I'll be too buys otherwise.

September! Nooooooo!!!

In all seriousness, where did the first eight months of the year go? Scarier than any Halloween story... wait a sec, that's coming, too!

Best bets: Sept. 19-25 and 26-30. So-so: Aug. 31-Sept. 3, Sept. 8-11, 12-18. Worst: Sept. 4-7 (Labor Day Weekend) or any time a tropical storm decides to make a visit. Hurricanes can result in the dreaded "Maybe no activity whatsoever".

Goals for September

-Make a proper title screen. Can't go releasing a demo without a title screen.

-Make some battle backgrounds.

-Create the end of demo boss fight event. That means it should be ready in October or late September for testing and mid-October to November for everyone else here to play (if all goes well). That's still Fall, right?

-Start the 2015 Halloween Comic

September looks busier than August, but that usually happens, anyway.

My goals?

-Finish Chapter 4. I'm so close to done already, just need to event the last dungeon and the ending cutscene for the Chapter

-Map and event the first town of Chapter 5.

-Finish the side quests in Riverdale. I still have an unfinished map there due to the side quest not being fully in the game.

If time still remains, plan is to keep trucking through Chapter 5.

September, times flies too much sometimes. Anyways, here are my goals, I'm not sure I can actually fulfill everything by the end of the month, but oh, well :)

- Creating the short funny intro, with the author himself getting involved. Bye bye, 4th wall

- Changing some tilesets, I have to change the military bases when they are not created by the same person, after all

- Adding more fogs effects to do better lightings, especially in caves

- Once for all, being done with the facesets, it has lasted long enough

- Creating a new menu for the training room, it's time to make that room useful for a while

- Creating mission 10 and 11, or at least, finish mission 10 and start mission 11

That will be enough for the month, I guess, especially if I have to deal with the facesets ^^

I bought a new wacom tablet which will come tomorrow morning so my goal for this month is to use it to it's fullest and hopefully use it to earn back what I spent on it.  In other words, my goal is to make lots and lots of pretty art.  I'm currently watching a lot of tutorials to try and get ready for it.

I suppose I should actually post my goals:

- Finish JavaScript in Codecademy.

- Possibly keep practicing with JS.

- Work through some tutorials on another engine to see if it helps me decide how to proceed with Slimer.

- Do some mapping streaming. I'm thinking of some that are geared towards newbies so that learning can occur.

Hmm...I really don't know how much I could realistically expect myself to do. Ideally, I want to be done with the Sombreronent and I think getting there in a month's time isn't too unreasonable. That would be: eight dungeons, four towns, two minor settlements, four boss fights, and finishing up everything in the Verdenwal area. The Mountain Fortress, Castle Lemura, and Link Towers will probably take the most time out of all of that.

I also need to think about rebalancing magic, just making Radish's and Friona's attack magic less sucky in comparison to Dora's.

@Everyone: Lots of motivation, inspiration and what else you need to work toward your goals!

Goals for September:

  • Continue working on a project
I'm reluctant to set myself goals clearer than that this time. Should probably specify some goals on a week-by-week basis or something like that to at least have a direction to guide me.
So goals for this particular week:

  • refine the story some more
  • flesh out the characters (especially their personalities and motives in regards to what they're doing according to the story – really, party member C, why would you do this?!)
  • sketching. A lot of sketching lies in front of me
Leftover Progress from the 31st:

  • lots of thinking about characters and world building things (*grabs one particular party member by the collar and shakes him* Why won't you tell me your motives?!)
  • more sketching. I notice myself clinging too much to my usual way of drawing which looks pretty awkward. Self, I'm trying to stylize here! Go away with your realistic proportions! Really, it's like using your second language while thinking in your native language, trying to translate things after the fact. May work fine for some people, but I'm really bad with this. Used to get Ds and worse in English class with this method, after all.
  • I wanted to look something up on TVTropes. Big mistake. By the end of it, it was time for me to go to sleep and I've forgotten completely what it was I wanted to look up. And here I thought I was already over staying on TVTropes for hours

Goals for this month:

-Finish drawing the robo army for my title screen.

-Draw the front-view robo battlers in Flash.

-Compile Celianna's furniture sets into tilesets.

-Start drawing more secondary and minor npcs like Luigi's groupies and the heroines' families.

Provided I don't get sidetracked by computer games or delayed by self-employed assignments, that is.

I completely understand that. Sometimes it's hard to know exactly how much you can accomplish in a bigger time frame like that. Mine are fairly vague this month too. Focusing on weekly goals is a great idea.

@Everybody : Good for your goals, now let's gooo !

First day, first progress (and some leftovers from the 31st, but well)

- I'm done with all the sprites of the dricater. Unlike mission 9, this time they will move randomly, so I needed to create the remaining sprites, especially front view and back view.

- I've started to implement a chair system. I was somehow pissed off that my characters were simili-standing on the chairs, so I started to draw the sit pose of some NPCs. Also, the player can now sit on chairs by interacting with them, efficiently changing the charset to match the chair. The interaction button is also used to leave the chair. Now I have to event all the chairs of the base, yippee :D

I'm probably mostly going to be working on music this month. I could really use a mapping contest for a jolt.

On that front I'd like to start playing more with Khas Ultra Lighting, especially with my recolors and fun stuff I did to my DS tiles. Hoping it won't be too much!

I'd also just like to paint something for the heck of it. I haven't painted in a long time and I'm getting that itch.

  • Many of my cave and dungeon pieces are drafted and outlined for M+, now I have to fill them in!
  • I started working on a song for one of my projects, for once! Yes, it's more piano work (for now). Even though this project is way off in future land I'm really tempted to orchestrate this today. Some soft strings, muted horns, brush kits and get a noir feeling happening.

My Goals:-

  • Making all of the flowcharts. (Yes! All of them!)
  • Blocking out all of the maps. Even if they're not pretty or haven't got the right graphics I'd just like them to be there.
  • Starting on a proper forest and sewer tileset addon. I'm sure I can finish one or the other.
  • Having a mini vacation!
My Progress:-

  • Some of the flowcharts are done. Not all. But some :D
  • Created some behavior animations and poses.

Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
