My real world to do list trumped my game making todo list this week. Doctors visits and shopping and trying to catch up on all sorts of chores. I'm going on a trip next week (starting this friday actually) so I'm trying to get ready. Mostly by cleaning a bunch of stuff because I have a sudden irrational fear of coming home to an infestation of bugs and rodents because I didn't wash every single dish I own or something like that. I don't know why, it's not like I've never been on a trip before.
I'm trying very hard to figure out how to get by without installing photoshop on this machine. I legally own CS2, but it's acting a bit glitchy on my new systems and I'm just sick of how Adobe does things. I want to be done with them forever. I've configured Krita to work with pixels but I'm still not comfortable with the program yet. I keep wanting it to work like a cross between Photoshop and Pyxel Edit but really it feels more like a cross between Painter and GIMP. Not in a bad way, it's just something I'll have to get used to. I love working in Pyxel Edit for creating repeating tiles, but for editing them together in a tileset or making the B-E tiles I usually switch to Photoshop so I don't have to work around the grid. Plus the selection and recoloring tools are a bit better. I'm sure Pyxel Edit will get there someday but it's not there yet.
@R4B: Oh, no, Pyxel Edit is fine. Saying "my favorite art program" was a bit misleading, wasn't it? I don't do pixel art with a tablet so it occupies a completely different space in my head. I meant Clip Studio Paint. It's what I use for all my anti-aliased stuff.
