Hello Rpg Maker community! My name is Lucresia, and as of recently I've begun using RMMV to design my first ever game, which if it comes to be well liked, will become a part of a series, the first installment being Echoes of Fate.
This post is where I'm hoping to get a little feedback and to post updates on the progress of the game's first chapter (the beta version). I'm a solitary developer but am really trying my best to make this game look professional and loveable, to anyone that reads this I just want to say thanks! ^-^
And here is a little info about the game, I hope you like what you see here, any feedback is appreciated!
Echoes of Fate takes place in the fictional world of Seras, a very Earth-like planet full of magic that has since the dawn of time, been a source of conflict between two all-powerful beings, Ariv, the creator of light, and Vira, the creator of darkness. Ariv holds power over Seras, but when it was first formed, Vira attempted to take control of the world by sending her, for all intents and purposes, daughter Pandora, to destroy all life within the world.
That's where the story begins, anyone who plays will find out just what happened to Pandora and her minions, and how the main characters, 10 heros from various locations, including the prince of the largest of Seras's seven kingdoms, where the story begins, are involved.
(I can't be giving away the story on a post, can I?)
Anyways, the game will have a long playtime to accompany the storyline, along with over 600 enemies with at least 400 of them being unique in some way, a collection of minibosses, 12 main bosses, loads of puzzles, traps, item and equipment crafting, playable characters with unique skill types and special moves, hidden Easter eggs and content only the completionists will find, as well as features like:
- Dark storyline moments
- Comedic storyline moments
- Alternate outfits for characters
- A blank home that can be decorated by the player
- Personality development of the center character, Cal
- Smart enemies driven by ai
- Teachers that grant your characters new skills
- Item synthesis as mentioned above, but especially potion brewing
- Customizable weapons and armor
- Theres more, but I can only plan so far ahead >-<
The game also differs from most RPG's I've played, in the sense that- your hp experiences very little increase, and your defensive abilities don't increase at all with level. The hope of the game isn't to be another kind of, "grind until I'm OP and breeze through everything" kind of game... I assure you, the main bosses, if the enemies and environment already don't, will put an end to those who don't learn how to make the most out of their character's resources. The game is supposed to be a challenge for anyone who wishes to accept!
This is all I have right now, but if anyone has anything to say, any questions, thoughts, requests, concerns, please don't be afraid to let me know! And as im alone and haven't made a game before, I'm kinda struggling with resources and plugins, I have enemy and character sprites covered... But if there is anything you think I could use to improve the game if you are interested, please let me know, all feedback and any help is appreciated. And that's all! Thank you!
