Have you ever added a scene or mechanic or something in your game and it created an accedental plot twist that enriched your game?

I just added a scene at the beginning of my game and it gave a single line of text meant to introduce a mechanic that makes the players life easier an ocean of emotinal signifagence if i let it

Yup, done that.  More often, though, with a single, casual line in dialogue where I think a lot later - Ha, I can use that to foreshadow this (which I have only just thought of because I re-read that line on another play through.)

I'm not quite sure how one accidentally programs something, but  a project of mine's main focus wound up creating an entire written book created by a central character.

I dunno if it's enriching, but the pages I've written so far are some of my best work. I guess it enriched my experience at the very least.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
