Maybe in an eventual sequel, however, I'm looking more towards a reachable goal and that would mean, no you can't choose your own characters gender. (Unless I allow homosexuality, which I don't think I'll do.)

Well, it doesn't hurt to give it a shot. Emosets are probably the easiest kind of art resource for RPG games. Mostly moving eyebrows and mouth around. 

Edit: And some feedback, your concept sounds very interesting. I like the screenshots a lot too. Busy without being cluttered.
