Setting weather to only some parts of the map?

What I would love to be able to do, as title states, is set weather effects to only part of the map. I have a map of a school classroom that shows parts of the outside. It's supposed to be raining. I thought maybe I could set a Region ID to every tile that is "outside" but I don't think I can set weather to a Region.

Is there a script I could possibly use? Right now I'm using MOG's Weather_EX - I don't know if I can use that for what I need, though.

When I need to have some outdoors showing through a window, I just use animated events.

Well, it's more like this:

It'd be really cool if I could figure out how to make it rain just in that outside part.

Perhaps using pictures might work if it's only for a few maps? The picture would display a looping animation of the rain falling down.

I ended up changing my map just to show the inside. I added some of the default waterfall animation events to the windows, but I was wondering if you had an idea where I can get rainy windows / lightning flash windows? I have tried making my own tiles to change through the "Change Graphic" function as a lightning effect, but... it has not worked -__-;

No, sorry. I've only used animations with stars for a night sky.

If you create yours, you'll need to do it in one of these ways:

1 - Use a two-step animation. Image 1 goes on the left and right of your character sheet, image 2 goes in the middle.

This might be okay for twinkling stars, but might not work for things that are meant to be moving (like snowflakes or rain, which is supposed to go from top to bottom) as it will not be clear that it IS moving - it'll just be the same two animations over and over. If you do this, check the Step Anim. button on your event, as well as Direction Fix. Leave the trigger as Action Button.

2 - Use a four-step animation. Image 1 goes on the top left, 2 below it, 3 below that, and 4 on the bottom left (which column doesn't really matter, as long as they're all lined up below each other). This would be better for rain or snow, where you want a definite falling animation. To use it, choose the top sprite for your graphic, set the Autonomous Move Route to Custom, and edit the custom move route as follows: Turn Left, Wait X Frames, Turn Right, Wait X Frames, Turn Up, Wait X Frames, Turn Down, Wait X Frames. Experiment with the number of frames to wait each time - 4 or 5 might be okay - just make sure they are all the same. Direction Fix should NOT be checked. Still leave the trigger as Action Button.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
