Whether its a molten rock or a cured skull, nothing beats delivery by air. These specialised couriers trained to be relentless and persistent, once locked on to a suitable recipient they will deliver without fail. Watch out from above.
@Kes They don't shy from briefly letting go as they slam their parcels into any would be recipients, but are always sure to promptly grab their packages again ready for 'redelivery'.
Great birds of the sky trained to hold and carry ancient totems and other valuable objects for protection, tasked to bring these objects to the greatest heroes of all time. They weren't however instructed to let go of said objects, yet still, they thrust and slam their packages at any who pass leaving many bruises and broken bones in their wake.
It takes a true hero to pry these objects from those hardy talons, yet despite the challenge some question the worth of an oversized skull or molten rock.
Golems crafted long ago by a master artisan who's skills were rivalled by no one. His creations were so life like that they took on a life of their own. His genius has never been doubted not even once since his passing; his artistic talent when it came to faces however...
Golems since ancient times have longs since been used for labour and protection. Said workforce were well known for their formidable power and unrelenting, unwavering servitude. Their appearance however was never given a second thought, as long as they did their job it didn't matter what they looked like.
A fact which leaves many an adventurer dumbstruck when they are met in combat against some... 'thing' they can barely take seriously.
Mysterious felines fabled to have a habit of speaking in riddles. Answer incorrectly and you will be lunch, answer correctly and lunch will be yours. Its surprising just how skilled at cooking these oversized cats can be.
"What has 4 legs in the morning, 4 legs at noon, and 4 legs in the evening?"
A mysteries riddle which resembles another of great fame; many have answered yet none have returned alive. Even the greatest of philosophers have found themselves without mercy at their lack of knowledge.
But there is a secret to solving Sphinx's riddle, a secret so profound none have dared to even consider it a possibility.
Strong emotions have always been said to leave an imprint upon the world, and nothing is stronger than the matters of the heart. Whether joy or sadness; neither dead nor alive, these residual feelings may from time to time take form.
Where a joyful phantom may look upon the world with playful curiosity, those born of broken hearts are not to be trifled with.
While most ghosts can be reasoned with and brought to a peaceful passing beyond the veil; the volatile forms known as Phantoms couldn't be more different.
Born from unfulfilled hearts, they are no more than repressed emotions given form. There is no will behind the anarchy they bring, no mind to reason with. They are simply chaos in its purest form.
But there exists the rarest of these echoes...
Filled with a pure innocence and open heart she stands against her distraught sisters. Not to destroy them but welcome them in as one whole...
The crawliest of all insects, even the mightiest of adventures are known to squirm when these many legged bugs crawl along their skin. Especially when we are talking 8′ long centipedes capable of crushing bones with their thick carapace.
To make matters worse for the bug haters out there: A mad scientist has been researching how to make his own mechanical versions of these massively long crawlers with many many legs.
Nothing strikes terror in the hearts of city watchmen than the dreaded sound of feet heavily stomping the ground echoing across the empty plains. Its an attack, a sign that the enemy will soon be upon them. But a mere horde of orcs is nothing compared to the truest terror of the night...
It starts with a gentle 'pitter-patter', barely audible over the eerie silence. Then it grows steadily louder and louder, until all that can be heard is that of many sharp somethings piercing hard ground, much like a symphony of mining pick each striking one after another in a quick yet endless rhythm.
The ground begins to shake, the open plains rapidly turn black as if the moon's gentle light has been chased away.
It has come, far worse than any horde, far worse than a swarm of oversized rats. It is a stampede... Not of cattle but bugs. Many, many-legged bugs. Humongous and ever so hungry. With their sharp feet even capable of penetrating hard stone, no wall can stop them for they can climb the steepest of cliffs...
With mighty tusks they charge relentlessly at any-one or any-thing which dares get in their way; be it person or rock.
Despite this rather unruly nature of theirs to charge in one straight line non-stop they are considered fairly docile as far as monsters go. What is more, there is no need to hunt them for their valuable tusks as they shed them naturally every spring, just watch your feet when one finally gives way.
As for the Woolly variety they are extra friendly to any who carry a pair of super-sized shears, that thick coat of theirs never stops growing which is perfect for making bedding and coats, but not so much for the very hot and bothered beast they grow upon.
Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
