I thought I would post this project here, as I am busy with another game at the moment and wanted to make some progress with this one as well.
Experience turn based rpg combat with side view chibi style battlers!

Each character can do something different when exploring which means that party composition can really change the way a map plays!

Characters

Even Bryce himself doesn't resist his calling and joins an ancient guild of assassins where he can best [/SIZE]fulfill[SIZE=10.5pt] his terrible destiny.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt] [/SIZE]
[SIZE=10.5pt]However, a string of disastrous missions follow and Bryce's macabre potential seems squandered.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt]Map Skill: Shadow Stealth - sneak past enemies (and NPCs!!) and get preemptive strikes in battle![/SIZE]
Terell is a robust 42-year-old bodyguard, trying to make up for his past failures.
He's gruff and uncompromising with a quick temper and a large...girth.
Map Skill: Forehead Smash - break down fences, boxes, cracks in walls etc, gaining access to secret treasure and hidden areas!
Wyatt is a junior salesman in a firearms store and Bryce's best/only friend.
Innocent and trusting, he sees the good in everyone.
He suffers from a stammer that mostly affects words starting with B.
Map Skill: Snipe - Instantly kill on-screen enemies, making them drop rare and even unique items!
The top assassin in her guild, Sid is deadly and beautiful with a tragic past.
She and Bryce have a prickly rivalry.
The head of Bryce and Sid's division.
At 43, her days of active combat are well behind her, now she commands her assassins from afar, often while making obscene doodles and reading trashy romance novels.
Just don't call her a cougar...

That is ok. I know the rest of the Actor 3 Set...
Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
