This is a shallow question but has anyone really made a profit from a game here?

And there are indie devs who make their entire living by selling the games they make.  It's not easy, though.

Yes, if you look at the signatures of commercial games on this forum, then you'll realise that there are several developers who have already done a few dozen commercial games with RM and are living from selling those.
That said, you need a good quality of a game before you have a chance of selling it - you can't simply do a game on your weekends and get rich from that. Especially you'll need to make yourself known to have a chance of sales, because there are too many free projects (most abandoned or really bad due to inexperience) made with RM.

I suggest you start by making a decent non-commercial game to get the feel for the engine and the workload of making a game with 1-2 playing hours bug-free before you start with your first commercial project.

I explained the problems in more detail in the link in my signature.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
