I apologize in advance for not having much experience on this. I downloaded Shaz's ChangeTileSize.js plugin, but seem to be at a loss as what to do to resize my tiles I bought from the Futuristic Tile Pack. Nothing I do works. Shaz says to resize the images in the new folder, for example tilesets48 for 48x48 pixels. How would I go about that? Do I have to go through Gimp and resize every single one individually? I'm lost here. Please help as soon as you can.

you need to understand that there are two different sizes, and the plugin changes them only in the game.

The editor always required 48x48 based tilesheets. You need to resize the images from the futuristic pack (or any other Ace-Pack) with any image program (like GIMP or Photoshop) by 150% to make them usable in the editor, and install them in the project as normal.

That however, will create less than optimal tiles due to the resizing - but that doesn't matter, because that is where the plugin comes in.

The plugin tells the engine to use tiles that are not in 48x48, and you need to replace the resized tilesheets with the originals again after going back to 32x32 tilesize.

And because the tilesheets are only needed while developing and are not needed later, you can simply resize the entire tilesheet by 150% and ignore the minor pixel problems this creates in the autotiles and so on - you won't use the resized tilesheets later anyway.

Yep, use GIMP or Paint.net or Photoshop to resize the images to 150%

If you have a program that will let you batch this, it'll make it easier/faster.

Just make sure you don't replace the original files with the resized ones.  The larger ones are only for use in the editor and will not appear in the game.

I've re-read your post and I wonder if you think this plugin is doing something that it's not.

If you have purchased tiles for Ace and you want to resize them to 48x48 so you can use them in MV, you do not need to use this plugin to do so.  You just need to resize the tiles and place them in your project's default img/tilesets folder.  There are a number of threads around that go into this process and you can check them out to find the best tool to use and the settings required for a good result.

The Change Tile Size plugin makes MV use a grid that is NOT 48x48 so you don't have to resize your tiles and make them look good.  It is a way to use all your resources from a previous Ace project without having to resize them.  Unfortunately plugins can't change the editor, and that does expect 48x48 tiles, so this is where the resizing comes in.  The ORIGINAL tiles go into the new folder that you create, and the RESIZED tiles go into img/tilesets, just for the editor to use.  The resized tiles don't have to look great, and you won't see them when the game is played.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
