If you have no idea what I'm talking about--you're lucky. And probably taking your editor for granted. But for the rest of us.. This is the most annoying thing in the world.

What happens is that once you open the editor, everything looks and works fine UNTIL you press either SHIFT, or the right mouse button.. Then the mouse cursor jumps a few tiles up and to the left. If you hold shift, it will go all the way to the top left corner of the screen thus totally disabling me from mapping. UGHHHH
For the record: RPG MAKER VX ACE (disc purchased from Amazon.com), running on Windows 8.
I don't know what else it could be.. Maybe a compatibility issue between Ace and Windows 8? Is there no hope? Anybody have any suggestions? I feel like I threw away 70 bucks

- I haven't yet unistalled and reinstalled Ace, but it appears that thecoach has, and it continues.
- I installed the trial of VX, and it too does the exact same thing.
- This error hasn't occurred in any other program for me.
- I'm using Windows 8 (I knew it was a bad idea, but it's too late now!), so I'm thinking that it might be a compatibility issue, but when I run the troubleshooter, it still occurs.
- I google'd it, and it doesn't appear to be a Windows 8 thing exclusively. There were a few posts about it being an autokey for Compatibility software, but mine is not enabled.
I don't know what else it could be.. Maybe a compatibility issue between Ace and Windows 8? Is there no hope? Anybody have any suggestions? I feel like I threw away 70 bucks

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
