Hey guys,

Just wondering if a shopkepper like game would be possible? Something like Recettear, where you sell items during the day in a shop, and explore dungeons at night. With the funds you make from selling loot, having the ability to upgrade your shop & maybe your town as well?

Im super curious if theres maybe a plugin or something? I'm not asking anyone to do the work for me, just point in the direction of any guides currently available?

Thanks for your help everyone!

I don't see why not. You'll just have to do some clever eventing with your NPC customers so it looks like they have a bit of smart AI.

I'm not aware of anything that already exists that would help you. I suggest you just break it down into individual features/requirements, work on one at a time, and come back for help when you get stuck with something.

There was once a game on steam called "Fortune's Tavern - the Fantasy Tavern Simulator" that did exactly that with RMXP.
Unfortunately it is no longer available due to the developer team breaking up in an unfriendly way, making it impossible to be sold again (only those who purchased it previously still have it available in their steam account).
Follow-up games from the surviving part of the developer team unfortunately used their own engine instead of the RMs.

That game needed a massive reprogramming of RMXP's scripts.
It should be easier to do with RMMV because of the many improvements made in MV's code, but it will still be a lot of work.

Micro rant. The worst part of working from home when you live with your family is seeing how inconsiderate they are. "Hey, you're sitting in front of your computer, that means you're not doing anything! I want to put the TV at 200 decibels!"

If I was working in the office would you still talking me like that?
It's definitely discouraging when streamers give a try-to-say-it-nicely (i.e. bad) review of your game demo. It's like jumping into a cold pool. Bad initally, but it gets better with time. And you are now more alert and see better.

I have a little one-person party for Bendy every year, complete with the life-size plushie I made. And yes, I bake a birthday cake!
