Hello people!

I've been looking for such script, but I couldn't because I imagine how it can be tricky to program...

So during a message, I'd like to show a choice, and depending on wich choice you're on, a picture is showed behind. If you switch of choice, another picture is showed instead, and so on.

For example : imagine a game where just as it starts, we ask you to choose a difficulty level. When you're highlighting the EASY level, you see like a blue sword on the screen. When you're highlighting the NORMAL level, you see like a yellow sword and a yellow shield on the screen, and so on.

I'd like to use the standard choice layout, but if you have something else, I'll look into it. Also, I use Yanfly Message Script, so I don't know if it shouldn't be linked with the message system and be created on a new function, to avoid compatibility issues. Well, I'm just saying this but... you know. :D

If you can provide any help, please do!

Thanks and have a good day!

You mean something like the real time description? I've seen a similar script that changes the description of a choice when highlighted, can't remember the name though. Not sure if it includes showing bitmap/sprite function since i didn't use it myself but it's worth a try. You should be able to find it in the master script list.

If you can't find one that works, try edit your top post and add a mock up picture of how you want the layout to be like. And if you are using any custom scripts that might effect choice window/message window, post their links there too.

I think an easier way to do it would just to show a picture whenever they select a choice.

Then have another choice asking to confirm their previous choice.

Example:

Are you a boy or girl?

[Click] Boy -> Show a picture of a boy and then another choice Yes/No

Same thing for a girl. etcetc

So, I edited the original post to be clearer.

So you just want a difficulty chooser with picture shown? That should be easier than changing the choice menu if we made it a stand alone scene for game start up only. Because choice menu will effect the whole game and will need different approach in scripting.

You can try this script I threw together:

http://pastebin.com/P8Wz7Evt

This should do what you want, show an image based on the cursor of the choice window.

Choice selections without an image set set up will not show any images.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
