Show picture at character`s location?

Hi, Does anyone know how to show a picture at players x and y and follow the character or is there any plugin for it? I tried to use the variable to locate the playerx and playery but it is still not working. Thanks!!!!

This is the only plugin that does it I think.

"It's still not working" doesn't tell us much unless you also show us how you tried to do this. It's more likely that you did something wrong.

If you want it to follow the player, put it into a parallel process event. Your event should be something like this:

Control Variables X = Game Data > Player's > Screen X
Control Variables Y = Game Data > Player's > Screen Y
Show Picture using variables X and Y, with origin set to center
I would probably put a wait 1 frame (or more) after that, so it doesn't cause lag.

You have to set the variables on each iteration, because doing it just once sets them to the player's position then, but they won't be updated as the player moves.

You have to use the screen coordinates rather than the map coordinates, because pictures are based on screen coordinates.

And you have to set the picture origin to center otherwise the top left of the picture will be on the player, and the rest will be to the lower right.

If that doesn't work, please show a screenshot of your event (include the whole event window, including tabs and conditions and triggers), as well as a screenshot of what you see when you play.

Considering what it is you are ultimately trying to accomplish, might it be better to make the "picture" an actual event? Create an event, assign a sprite sheet that has the image you want, un-check the "Walking" box under movement options (just below the little window where you assign a sprite sheet), Check the "Direction Fix" box, and then have the event follow the player around with "Move Toward Player" in Autonomous Movement > Custom > Route.

I mean, I don't know if that would work for you specifically, depending on exactly what you are trying to do, but that would be a simple way to create the same basic effect, and you wouldn't need to run a parallel process (the less of those the better).
