Hey, some help here folks.
I've a problem I'm not sure how to solve. I'm using the "Show Picture" command to put fog of war over certain parts of the map.
It works fine when I use maps that has the same size as the screen resolution but of course it does not work well with bigger maps since the pictures move with the camera.
I'm aware of TDD's BindPicturesToMap plugin but I don't think that is exactly what I'm looking for? I'd like to be able to use the "Move Picture command" to change the opacity of the pictures over a specified number of frames for the effect I'm using to work.
And as far as I'm aware, TDD's plugin is more for parallax mapping, right? I'm already using Galvs LayerGraphics for that.
I'm open to suggestions if there is any other way you'd think would work better? My only other idea (which I haven't tried, yet) would be to place the picture graphics in the characters folder and use them for event graphics, and then control those events with switches or something.
But I dunno... it seems much more of a hassle and (maybe?) it's requiring much more resources? Keep in mind that some of these graphics are very big and covers a large part of a map (biggest maps are about 1344x768 pixels). Also some maps have up to 15-20 of these acting as fog of war...
Thanks for reading! Any help very much appreciated!
