I want to know if there's a way or plugin to show the item's picture image when "Select Item" command is used like this:
    Obviously, this is photoshopped.

My game is about memorizing color code and solving electrical circuits, so every resistor has same description. The picture image is the only clue/information for the players.

Most of the Plugins that I use in this game are from Yanfly, like Yanfly's Item Core and Yanfly's Item Picture Image, also Select Item Categories from modern algebra.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Ideally, what I want is a window that shows the highlighted item in real time like in Yanfly's Item Picture Image. From your demo @yeoldecoot, it's selecting the item, show the item's picture, then confirming the item usage. Yep, this could work. ^^

No problem. As long as it shows the item's picture assigned with Yanfly's Item Picture Image it is good.

you see the only way that that could work is if the show image call actually worked so i could set the value correctly but because i can't get the call to work i have it set up to a common event that triggers with a switch i.e this

if that didn't work its a common event thats set to run when a switch is on. the code inside is a basic show picture

I see... common event is another way worth to try.

@yeoldecoot For posting image in the forum, usually I use this site. Upload the image there, copy the direct link that generated, click the "Image" tools in the thread, paste the direct link. Because most forum can't upload images directly from user PC I think.
