So here's the problem. I'm using Ozu's self variables for my game mechanics. This plugin is a must-have, but my choice\message windows won't recognize self(this)[Variable id] as a viable command. I was considering assigning their values to temporary variables, but it's gonna be very tedious considering the amount of Player's stats, skills, items, etc.
Is there any easier solution I'm overlooking?
I have also considered calling windows via Script Calls but it might mess with HIME Coindional Choices plugin and script calls for choice windows are in general a bit hard to use.

none of your ideas would really work.

what you need is an add-on to the self variable script that creates a new textcode to display what you want. Because text codes need to be defined, you can't just place code inside text and expect it to work automatically.

You might be able to pull this off with a message plugin that gives an eval-type textcode (I think one of yanfly's does this) and then using the javascript command inside that eval, but that would be a bad workaround requiring almost as much typing as your idea of a temporary variable.

So you'll basically have to request that add-on plugin...

Okay. I'll just use "temporary" variables. I think you misunderstood me cause they work.

Sometimes a mechanic that is meant to add challenge is just annoying. Even the Final Fantasy games did not completely escape this pitfall of design. (FF8 draw system I'm looking at you - grrrr)
starting working on the sprites for one of my games major antagonists finally. here's the first frame of his chanting motion in battle.
Have spent too much time hammering out with a friend just how to make a reoccurring enemy that permanently learns skills you use against her.
I know what I want in a loose sense. Maybe I should just make a post asking for opinions and suggestions.
