RMMV Side scroller game like 'SHUT IN' ?

I'm not sure which uh forum to put this in I'm sorry if this is the wrong one. But I use RPG MAKER mv, I was wondering if I could possibly make a side scroller like this. Are there any plug-ins or tips too? Walk back and forth with arrow keys, enter doors that change to another part of the map, and such. I can't seem to find something even close ^^'

This looks doable with no plugins. What part are you stuck on?

The map scrolls by default to keep the player in the middle of the screen (up to the map edges).

You could restrict movement by changing the passability of the tiles in the database.

Use events as normal for doors etc, e.g.

• Player Touch + Same as characters: 1 tile above the player, player presses up, activates event.
• Action Button + Below characters: on passable row, player presses OK, activates event.
