Do you want to use side-view actors as enemies? For example, maybe one of your actors decides to join the enemies, but you still want them to appear the same as they did when they were in your party!

With this plugin, you can easily set up enemies to use side-view actor sprites.
Enemies will behave the same way as actors
  • When they are preparing to attack, they will be in their ready stance
  • When they are preparing to cast a spell, they will begin chanting.
  • When they are in critical condition, this will be shown on the sprite
  • When they die, they will fall over.

There is an addon available called the "Sideview Actor Enemy Weapons", which allows them to display weapon icons and animations. You will need Enemy Equips for that.

I have tested this with Ellye's ATB and it seems to work.

This plugin does not work with Yanfly's battle core at the moment.
A patch will be needed. If there is demand I will consider writing a patch, however since Yanfly has already announced his own implementation of animated enemies (which supports sideview actors), I am not sure if it would be necessary for me to support it.

Yanfly has already announced his own implementation of animated enemies (which supports sideview actors), I am not sure if it would be necessary for me to support it.
Announced and released as a beta as of this post.

Hmm, just noticed my state overlay animations are also being mirrored.


This is because I just flipped the entire sprite, rather than only flipping certain parts of it.


I've fixed this by making sure the state overlays aren't flipped.

Hime, is there any reason why the actor enemy's sprite would start facing the right direction and then flip the opposite direction after it attacks for the first time?

Is it due to my using Yanfly's Side Battle sequence plugins? (Even though I haven't actually customized any skills yet)

Yanfly's battle core assumes actors always face left.


My plugin simply loads up an actor in place of the enemy, which would then run into that issue.


I believe that is the cause of the problem but I don't have a solution for it.

Sorry to bother yourself pricess Tsuki,for some reason i tested it in a clean project and the battler doesnt show the collapse when they die. It just stay in his stand/bad status pose during the victory phase. Excuse me for my bad english

There was an issue where motions were not being refreshed for enemies due to events (eg: knock-out by event changing state)

Yanfly My Enemy does not attack he moves he takes damage but when he attacks he does not do the animation I wonder if it's like that or if I'm doing something wrong
