Side view battlers but only using one sprite

Since I gave up on front view + plugins. Is this possible? I only want to use one frame. That means, the character is just a standing statue (I'm more looking for fighting heads (portraits as battlers) ) for their attack, throw, shoot, etc.

you'll either need a plugin rewriting the sideview functions, or you can use an image program to make all frames identical - then it would look to the player as if there is no animation.

you'll either need a plugin rewriting the sideview functions, or you can use an image program to make all frames identical - then it would look to the player as if there is no animation.

I fiddled through the Rpg_Sprites Json and with some guess work, I changed the indexes of the stuff under Sprite_Actor.MOTIONS = { to 0 and it worked.

just keep in mind that modifying the core files means you'll not be able to update the project anymore. That is the main reason why I suggested using a plugin instead.

Definitely glad I haven't released a few of my plugins that are technically done. As I learn more, I find ways to make my code more efficient, and in one case so far, discovered an existing function that did EXACTLY what I created my own function to do.
