Hello!

This shall be my first question to this great programs most likely great community. I have download and started using RPG maker MV from friday/start and ran into little problem.

Using Yanfly plugins ( almost every of them ) I did change screen/game resolution to 1920 X 1080 , My screen resolution. Didn't think much about it back then. Now when I have started to work with enemies and troops on my game I have run slight cosmetic problem. When I tried battle test one of my troop I noticed that my battle background seems to be split to 6 different smaller images. It's like it is sorta tiled them in to fill the space. Thus I have begun think that the backgrounds are not resolutions that I am using ( 1920 X 1080 ) Is there way to make the " fill " background rather than " tile " six of them ?

Hey Gadehos,

yeah, the battlebacks (and possible title images as well) are all formatted for MV's default screen size.

You would need to manually resize them.

1. Make a copy of the Battle Back you want larger and post it on your desktop.

2. Use this: http://waifu2x.udp.jp/
Use 2x Scale but only use Medium Noise Reduction for 2x Scale.

If it makes it too large, you can always edit it in something like GIMP and scale it down a bit to fit
the size you want.

If you try to upscale it in an Image software it will most likely end up being blurred.
That's why waifu2x is good for Upscaling while keeping it's quality pretty high.

-Edit-
I also want to add, you should use "CTRL + S" on the Image page to save it instead
of right clicking to save, it doesn't save properly if you right click sometimes.
So use CTRL+S.

Yanfly made an update for his Core Engine plugin, check it out on his website http://yanfly.moe.

He added the option to let the battlebacks scale automatically, makes it much more easier to play around with different resolutions.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
