So, I've been trying to thinker around to figure out what I can do but I can't seem to find a workaround at the moment. But I've been trying to get my Sideview enemies (YEP_X_AnimatedSVEnemies) have a custom death effect instead of it just being the default fall down then suddenly disappear on one frame, so I wanted to use MOG_CollapseEffects with it but I can't seem to find any ways to get it to work. There is a option on the Animated SV Enemies plugin to make them collapse and fade (The default) but that itself isn't working. Is there any workarounds anyone knows? It would really be a huge help!

If you have a plugin that SHOULD do it, but it isn't, I'd stick with that plugin and avoid introducing more, because you're inviting incompatibilities by doing that.

Please provide a link to the plugin, a screenshot of your plugin manager, a screenshot of the parameters you've set up for that plugin, and a screenshot of one of your enemies so we can see how that is set up. If one screenshot isn't enough to show all of your plugins or parameters, take several. Use Alt+PrintScreen to limit it to the active window, not the whole desktop, as it makes it difficult to see things clearly.

Sorry for the late response, here's some screenshots:

(Rest of the info on that plugin is just configuring motion for weapon types, so I won't bother screenshotting that.)

Glass: 5%
Herb: 7%
Thin Grass: 10%

</Enemy Drops>
Collapse Effect: 0

(The <Enemy Drops> have duplicates because I want low chances of the player receiving multiple of the same item from a single enemy to reduce item farming.)

Hopefully all that helps. It's the last issue I have with my game at the moment.

Can you try the exact same enemy setup on a blank project with only the YEP_X_AnimatedSVEnemies installed?

At the moment, it's not clear if the issue is:
  1. You didn't set up the plugin correctly
  2. Some other plugin is interfering
  3. (something else?)
Isolating the plugin by itself might answer that question.

Also please check the console (F8 or F12 during playtest) in case there are any errors, sometimes errors are logged to the console which don't crash the game, but it's useful information.

Just tried it out on a new project, same issue, they must be incompatible, maybe Moghunters plugin doesn't support sideview yet. But it should be able to replace it, cant seem to find any errors in the console either.

It is the Moghunter Plugin, it definitely is not compatible, reguardless if it's above or below, when its above Sideview Enemies or disabled, the enemies then fade properly. But would there be a way I can make it compatible?

If the enemies fade "properly" without the MOG plugin, then don't use it? What problem are you actually trying to solve?

But would there be a way I can make it compatible?
Either by learning Javascript or hoping somebody else writes you a patch. It might be easy, it might be hard.

The plugin im trying to use allows custom enemy defeat effects, theres quite a bit to choose from but it gives it more to the game than a default fade. Which is why ive been trying to use it.

I see, so the YEP Sideview Enemies plugin contains some features related to death animation, but it's not the features you want. You can't use them both together because they are incompatible, you can use only the YEP but then you don't get the features you want.

Can you use only the MOG and not the YEP? Are there features on the YEP Sideview Enemies you can't live without?

That's pretty much what it comes down to, if you can't live without the YEP Sideview Enemies then you have to decide:
  1. Live without the MOG plugin
  2. Find an alternative to the MOG plugin that is compatible with the dozens of other plugins already installed
  3. Try to get a patch written which modifies the YEP and MOG to work so the features of both don't interfere with each other
If you decide to go for #3, it could be worth making a post in the JS Plugin Requests section with as much information as you can figure out.

I emailed the guy that made the MOG plugin so ill first wait for that, all the animated sv enemies from yep are just size changes, of course sideview, its easy to use, that's pretty much it, if I could get a replacement that's the same then id do that but ill wait for a response from my email.

Alright, I'll keep this post updated, not sure how long or even IF I get a response. But when I do, I'll post here.
