Simple Custom Title Screen??

I'm sorry in advance if this is the wrong forum to post to. I'm kind of lost when it comes to this website.

I am completely struggling. All I want to do is to replace the default title screen with a custom image I've made. When I go to the System tab and go to alter the background image, my image doesn't show up even though I've put it into the folder.

I've also tried pluggins, but I cannot navigate those to save my life. They're all just for animated bgs and I do not want that. Just a static image. Please help!!

Title Screen Image must have a PNG extension in order to be visible, also image must be placed in titles1 folder.

Wow. That should have been obvious. Thank you so much!! I've spent way too much time on this.
