Simple Swap Battle Actor 0.2c

Introduction


This script allow the user to create a skill that can replace the caster with another actor who not in the party


Features

  • No Event use + Easy Configuaration
  • When the swap character KO, the caster will swap back instanly
  • Auto Recover the swapped actor

How to use


Add <swap_to_actor: x> in Skill Note to make this skill become swap skill
Replace X with the actor id you want to swap by this skill.
This tag is case sensitive.

Known Problem


- Skill won't work on Battle Test.


- Movement & Animation Problem, Since I'm not understand about action Sequence. You can use Yanfly Action Sequence Pack for the swap one. But, I still can't find a way to fixed the death swap one.


- You need to have full party member, or the swapped actor will be fight side by side and will have a problem when swapped die. Unless using Yanfly Engine Plugins - Party System  Fixed in 0.2


- If the remaining actor while the others KO is swapped actor, you will be defeat even the summon actor has full health.  Fixed in 0.1a

Nice script! I think you could include some notetags to change de whole party into 1 actor (Final Fantasy X Summon)

That would be big more work cause it will need another way to swap whole party. I will try doing it when I have some free times.

This is a super cool plugin! I think it's an awesome plugin and makes for an AMAZING battle mechanic!

0.1a is out. This version fixed death bug that make you defeat if the remaining actor is swapped.

Um... I have the Yanfly Party System but it still does that... Is there some sort of fix for it?

Oh... I thought I had 0.2... oops. I guess I didnt...


I used a custom one I made, It was also specific to the summon (its a wing flap for a bird or a thunderbolt for a thunderspirit) and it works better with a couple waits here and there depending on the animation!

It's a great system, and I made a really cool design for usage! Spiritstones (an armor type) which have the special trait of making it so you can transform into that specific thing while it is equipped, and it works PERFECTLY! Thanks so much!

This problem should fix in 0.2a as state above.


Since I already add the caster list in the exp gain pool, and make them mark as battle members.


PS. If you're using Yanfly Engine Plugins - Victory Aftermath, it will show that the caster won't get any exp.


But in fact, they get the exp. I will update the compatible patch soon.


Edit:: 0.2b is out. This version add Yanfly Engine Plugins - Victory Aftermath support.

I am sorry, I started a new project with all the default database settings, added the summon skill. Guess it would make sense the actor got no exp. since the bat enemy was set to 0 exp. Thank you again, I had a set up like this with common events, in which the caster would return if the summon died, but putting the caster back in the party was a lot of redundant map p. processing, and I could not distribute the exp.  This can be used in so many ways, summoning, transform your character like J'eanne D'arc or BOF 3 and 4.

Which Plugin did you use with mine? May be I will try doing compatible patch for you.
