Site increasingly unstable?

I am finding it increasingly difficult to open up either the 'New Posts' page or individual topics listed there.  Also when I want to make a post, or want to edit an existing one, it takes a very long time before it loads up.  This is whether I'm using Chrome, IE or Firefox.

This started a few weeks back and the situation seems to be getting worse.

Yes, it's because there's a lot of activity today. It's not "progressively getting worse". It's worse than normal today because of the extra activity in threads etc etc etc.
