Skill system Lvl 5 - Lvl 10 - Lvl 15....

Hey Makers :),

as you see in the title, i want to make an skill system where every 5 Levels the player has a choice between 2 or 3 Skills. I don´t know how to do that, i know yanfly´s skill engine but i don´t want that the player can access to the skill system from the menu. There´s an Machine and i want that the player can only acces from the machine to the system. And before he reaches Lvl 5,10,15... he says i haven´t reached that lvl yet. Hope you can help me :3

Hi, I just bought the program on Monday, so there is a lot I don't know yet but I just tried and came up with this:


You could have the event check your current Level and give you different choices based on that. I hope it helps. :kaoback:

Well, if I understand correctly you want the player to go to a certain spot and access an event to choose the skills. You could do this by placing an event over the 'Machine'.

To make it so that the player must reach a certain level before being able to access the machine you can create an event and select 'Control Variables' once you're there check 'game data' and select 'Actor' > 'Player' > 'Level'. You're finished with the variables and can hit OK.
Next, you'll want to make a 'Conditional Branch' Then check 'Variable' and select the variable you just created. Check 'Constant' and type the number of the level you want them to need to be to access it. Check 'Create Else branch' and hit OK.
You can then make a text that says that the level of the player is too low to access it in the else branch.

Yeah you understand it right, i did what you said. but only the else branch is showing up. I did player constant equal or greater than 5, but i tried as level 1, 5 and 7 and it didn´t work. Thx for your fast answer.

I don't read German, so I may have misunderstood what's going on in your event, but looking at your structure you appear to have set the conditional as asking if the player is at or greater than level 5 before you have set the variable. You need to set the variable first because otherwise the conditional has nothing to check.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
