As title says.

Currently, the Class System for my game involves 1 skill pool, but the available skills a class can learn depends on that class. This is paired with a Skill Equip system to further customization and assign characters to roles that fit their playstyle. Here's some examples:
  • All healers have access to the basic heal/cure skills, but the "Cleric" only has the best heal skill, and they do not have access to better version of supportive skills i.e. granting barriers, increasing stats, etc.
  • Physical and magical tanks have access to the best physical and magical defense skills respectively, while a hybrid tank do not, but the hybrid tank has access to other skills that the previous classes do not have, like migitating damage against both at the same time.
Thoughts on such a system? Have you encountered a similar system before, and what's your experiences with that?

EDIT: I forgot to mention, but characters and classes have statistical differences to separate them, as well as other functions that make them different from one another.

Wait, I can't really imagine the difference with standard class system? isn't this standard "Healer" "Fighter" "Tanker" etc. tree that branch to it's own specialization?

Essentially, yes. There's a lot to discuss but the "holy trinity of RPGs" works because it is simple and effective. Without incentive that is exclusive to specific classes (i.e. specialization), players will not care about the classes they pick for as long as they have a lineup that respects the trinity. This system of allowing classes to have some shared skills but also have exclusive ones help signal to players about the classes's place in the trinity, while also saying that "X from one role is different from Y of the same role" and having enough similarities for them to not feel alienated from each choice. At least, that's the dream.

Yknow what? Im seriously considering recruiting a manager to oversee my games development.
Because I cannot focus or complete these tasks by myself. I need someone to give me orders, without having them be my boss.

Got my focus back, 9/59 maps have the door fix in place now.
Making a small RMMV project has made me realize that I've never actually made a credits sequence for a game.
