Recently while working on my game, I noticed that none of my skills show up in battle or in the skills menu. It has said that my character has learned paralyze and sweep kick but none of them are showing. I tried a new game, and that didn't work. Please help me so I can continue my game!

Skills have to be set to a command to appear under. Are the skills set to appear under the "Special" command, and not "None" or "Magic" or anything like that?

Go to Database.

Go to Skills tab.

See your skills?

Your Skills have a skill type set to something.

As

HeroicJay

said above it can be Special or Magic or something else.

Let's say a skill is on type "Special"

Now go to the Actor tab.

What Class is your actor?

Did you saw?

Ok!

Now go to Classes tab, select that hero's class and take a look at the list on the right, named "Features".

Do you see a feature "Add Skill type: Special"?

If not, well make it happen, double click on the list, select the Skill tab of the poped up menu and select "Add Skill type" and the type of skill type you wanna add to the class.

You can also add skills type to characters directly, using the Actor tab, but if you want many heroes to share same skills, well that's one thing why classes were made for. ;)

I hope I helped you.

I made a free tutorial game that explains everything within 4 hours.

You might wanna check it out for your reference.

Cheers!

Check once again:

Your character has a Class. Let's say Class A.

Class A has the skill type B added.

You got for instance 3 skills of type B.

Go to the class and add skills.

Make sure you give them  at LEVEL 1.

Try that and tell us again.

The actor or class also has to have the skill type enabled in their features. Can you show a screenshot of the skills tab, with one of the skills selected, the actor tab and the class tab, so we can see that you've got the skill type added for them?

In your screenshots, Kinak is still Level 1 - but the skill Paralyze is set to be learned on Level 2.

Level up and check if the skill is still missing, then post screenshots where the actor is on the higher level.

Also, even if the hero will be level 20, if you saved your game and THEN edited the class or the skill or whatever,

it might not update it.

You have to playtest it from scratch. I had this issue too.

Make an event that you remove her from party, then she change class, then change class again to her original.

This might fix it. Add her back to your party then.

What may also be adding to the confusion is that you have the skill showing as special, but the cost is MP, not TP

wrong, that is just a developer/gamer convention - the engine doesn't care what the cost is or how the skill type is named.

"sorry it took me so long to respond" - can we please agree not to say that anymore unless it actually took a long time?! (Like 36hrs at least) I mean, I'm running out of funny responses here xD
Ugh... 4:53AM over here and I can't sleep so why not just game make.
I just love the MV feature that allows you to create your own animations!
I typically ask this on my normal social media channels, but figured there may be good replies here. Anyone got any good horror movie recommendations? I've seen a lot, but I always love getting suggestions! Bonus points if you know which service it is streaming on (in the US) - bring on the spOoooOky!
