I remember back in RPG Maker 2003 you could set a Skillset to be a skillset or immediately Link To An Event. I was wondering if you could do that as well in MV? Otherwise you have to create a skill in that subset for it to work.

I don't even know what a skillset is or how that would connect to events. Most probably there is an alternative to do something, but it's better if you describe to us the game mechanic that you want to do instead of the method of how to do something.

The skillset is the name of a group of skills. So Magic has all your spells and some people make like a Sword Skills so all sword skills are found there instead of lumped into one category. Basically I want to have a command called 'Berserk' then when I use it just makes my barbarian have the berserk state. Only way I can find is to make a Skilltype Berserk, and make a skill berserk. So thats two button presses instead of the one you could do in RPG Maker 2003.

Yes, skill types are used for organizing skills in Ace and MV. They are automatically grouped in the battlesystems that way.

However, you cannot assign effects directly by default, and the skill type itself won't have a function either.

You'll have to use skills for effects, the skill type can't do that.

Darn, I'll miss that from 2003. Thanks though!

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
