This is a horror game, where you'll travel through different nightmares. People say, that you're waking up in Sleeping Hill only when you're very close to death. This place is full of people's nightmares and you must face them as long as possible to survive. Not many people manages to escape Sleeping Hill. It also depends, what events did you experience in life. What nightmares you will have to face? How long you will survive? Will you escape from Sleeping Hill? This looks amazing! I love the art style! This is a very unique type of game that I havent really seen on here, I didnt even know it was possible to make. I cant wait for the full version to come out, It has a nice back story and nice graphics~
Why, thank you! I'm really glad you liked it! (= I'm kinda surprised to hear read that, because I was making everything in haste, so the quality is kinda laughable. =P Thank you for sharing your opinion! (=
I like the concept of traversing through other people's nightmares! It leaves room for vastly different sections in gameplay. I also love main character's name. Puns are great!
Finally got to play through the game. I know you aren't finished, but the estimated time is off. It took about 5 min to play. I like the start, but I was wondering why the "creature" you encounter at the end didn't chase you at all. Good luck with the rest!
Yeah, I was thinking I've put a wrong estimated time. Corrected it now, thank you. I'll call it a bug. It's because of events and I didn't had the time to fix that. (and being lazy ^^) This was done in hurry and I'm not hiding, that I've made a mess. I'm planning to start everything over and fix the issues and improve quality. Thank you! (=
Yes, it totally refers to "Silent Hill". The in-game menu is based on the first "Silent Hill" game. ^^ My problem is - I can work really fast when there's a deadline, but when there's no time limit, then I'm getting lazy with developing games. =P Thank you for your opinion! (=
Eventhough I was only able to play a little bit off of this one and it is still a work in progress, I am interested in seeing where this is going. It has the Silent Hill mystery about it and a bit of Lovecraftian presence to me. If you do go the Silent Hill route maybe you can pull off what Silent Hill tried to do. Clear choices that reflect the character's psychological state and final ending. That would be a butt load of scripting or eventing though. Easier said than done right? The inventory screen reminded of the older horror games played growing up, very nostalgic. I would say for me the inventory screen felt more like the older Resident Evil's than Silent Hill. All in all, keep up the great work.
Why, thank you! I'm not sure what exactly I'll do there, but I'll be trying to focus mostly on the atmosphere and its creepiness ~ but I'll see what can be done. ^^ Thank you for visiting!
Justin Case hahaha. Love the art. All art different from "the typical rpgmaker art" makes people take a look on the game. You did it yourself?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) That's actually kinda surprising ~thank you! =P Yes I did all of the art and stuff (except the big icon of lighter) but even for me it's in funny quality because I was doing that in hurry. =P That's what I like the most - when the developers are putting their own touch and style to their games to show the game like they would love to ~ that's why I prefer making silly stuff by myself than basing on RTP/freely available resources. My main objective is always to make the game as unique as possible ~ despite not being good at art and things like this, all of my games are mostly based on custom stuff ~ From RTP I'm using only few icons ~ sound effects etc. I just prefer to see something new instead of an RTP game among 99999 other RTP games, though I'm not saying they're bad, don't get me wrong. =P Anyway I'm glad you liked it! =3 Thank you! ^^
I am with you on that. I think games need to stay personal in order to be different, that makes for example that my attention focus on a concrete game. So well done. I prefer silly but personal graphic art, for example: LISA. Keep on rockin'
I always loved customizing ~ I had so much fun with level editors and things like this when I was a kid. I always liked to create something by myself - and here I'm able to fully customize everything as much as I want, so why to miss such an opportunity? ^^ That's right that games need to stay personal ~ everybody has their own story to tell and the games should show how the developers see that ~ Erics and stuff like this will only cover the true look of the game. I know that not everybody can do graphics etc., so I understand people using these resources, but it's always nice to actually 'see' what developer has/had in mind, even if that would have to be in pretty low quality. =P Thanks! I will! =3
