Sliding bookcase?

It's possible that the image you are using has a solid white colour on top of the transparency.

Try opening the image file in GIMP or any image processing software you are using to check,

Could you post or PM me the file you are using if you are still having any problems?

So here is what I'm doing.

First I go to VX Ace and take a screenshot and paste it in GIMP:



Then I crop out the bookshelf.  Once I do that I save it as an PNG. and add $ in front:



But when I go to create an event a white box appears on the top corner of the image:

Your image file has to consist of 3 x 4 sprites.

Try increasing your bookshelf image file from, example 32 x 64 pixels to 96 x 256. (The entire canvas, not the bookshelf itself).

Then, add a $ in front the filename.
