Hey Guys,

I have got a problem with my first sliding puzzle.

I have 3 places where i have to put a object to activate it. Thats works very well

But i have 3 options and if you dont know which one is the right, you cant solve the puzzle. So every box that you can move had to be the ability to activate all three events.

Dont wonder about the only box left on the screen, i want to make it work for the first one, the other one would be copy and paste =)

For a better view, look at this screenshots =)

I hope you undestand the german language =) otherwise ask me again :D

Your problem is that the control variable command is incomplete: you haven't told or selected which event's coordinated you want to use.

The complete command would look something like

Control Variables: [0001:Felsen X] = [Event001]'s Map X

See that in your screenshot, the event's name does not appear in the brackets? You have to select an event to be the source of the coordinates, otherwise the engine doesn't know which event/box to check.

And then you just repeat those commands for each event/box that you want to check/move

You could also use regions to colour in the spots where you need to move the box - if it can go on ANY, make them all the same region, but if it must go on ONE, colour in just that tile. Then in your event, obtain the region id of the box (by putting the box's x and y coordinates into variables, then using the Get Location Info command on tab 3 to put the region id into a variable). As soon as the region id is correct, they've moved the box correctly.

Perhaps you used the wrong numbers for the coordinates.
Have the box display a text with its coordinates after each move, then check if you counted the coordinates for the spots correct.

What is on page 2 of that event? If it's a blank page, or has no conditions, page 1 will never run.

You should turn on a self switch when the box is on the correct spot, and page 2 should be conditioned (in the Conditions above the sprite area) by that self switch.

Page 2 is just an leftover from a try from myself.

Only site nr.1 should do it.

That still doesn't tell us if it has any conditions or not.  If it has no conditions, page 2 is what is running, so showing us what you have on page 1 won't get you any closer to a solution :)

Remove page 2, or do as I said above, and see if it works.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving!
