[SIZE=12pt]As the summer is coming to an end, Slimer and his tribe are finishing up the last of the pumpkin gathering to tide them over through the winter. When Perago and his lazy band of birds raid the pumpkin stash, the Slime Tribe is left with very little to see them through the cold months. Slimer sets out to restore the Slimes’ stock of food, helping friends along the way.*[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Slimer is an action platform game reminiscent of the original Frogger games, but with new style! You will use a platform jumping action to cross the rivers in an effort to gather as many pumpkins as you can while avoiding enemies. Pumpkins can be traded for Power Ups and Bonuses. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Along the way don’t forget to help out your friends. As you help friends out of tough situations, they will become a playable character. Each new slime will have a different ability to help you gather as many pumpkins as you can. You can choose which slime to play as, depending on the needs of the level.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]*Specific unique character abilities have not yet been decided, though I have many ideas. What I’ve written here are some suggestions.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Our main character! Slimer is a champ as he travels through his land to gather pumpkins for his tribe, helping his friends out along the way.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]A veritable ray of sunshine, this shy little slime is always around to help a friend in need. Possible special power – Sunburst, a short burst that gathers all pumpkins within a certain range.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]    Rubie[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Rubie looks sweet, but can be quite sassy when she wants! Nevertheless she’s a good pumpkin gatherer and can fend off enemies well. Possible special ability – A quick burst that gets rid of enemies in a certain range.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]As the game expands and progresses, we will be meeting more slimey little friends![/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Level Mock Up – This is not an actual level design, but a mock up to test out tiles. The tiles are definitely a WIP. I know there are a lot of flaws that will be worked out, this is just to give an idea of the style.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Menu Mock Up – An idea of what I want the main menu to look like. Scripting it into place is one of my goals this month. Also, it will change as certain features are definitively added and removed.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Mini Game – This is a possible PacMan inspired mini game. This shot is using the DS+ tiles, what I started out using before I began creating my own. Obviously, the tile style will be converted. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]The fun thing about this game is that there is room for so many ideas! I’ve received a lot of thoughts regarding game play features, characters, story, etc. I’ve got a great list going. For now though, my goal is to keep it fairly simple and build and expand as I go. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]One of my biggest hopes is to port Slimer to a mobile platform. At the moment, I have no idea how that is going to happen. However, I’ve been exploring many options.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]My plan is to get a good solid build of Slimer done, then possibly look at doing a Kickstarter to not only pay for additional graphics, art, and scripting but to fund a mobile build. Again, not sure at all at this moment the best way to go about it, but I’m researching![/SIZE]

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
