Small project proposal. Zelda like ABS game. 8 bit. All welcome.

I just had an idea for a little zelda clone about a Caterpillar. The Caterpillar has caused a lot of problems in the lands and he has to change the local inhabitants scornful opinion of him. I just thought of this as a very simple premise for a fun game to play though. If you have any ideas they are welcome. I would just like to keep it simple but have enough dialogue to keep the player interested.

As you defeat enemies as the Caterpillar you get leafs to eat. You have to keep eating the leafs the more you have the more stronger you get.

That reminds me of Bug's life and Toy Story 2 Ps1 games. You play a small character (ant or child toy) and explore the world but through their view? idk check them out and maybe you'll get some ideas or inspiration?

not yet I'm afraid. I still haven't finished my first game. I have a lot of free time and ideas buzzing in my head. I just been feeling tired recently to actually get it finished so I can share it with you all. I want it to be good. I know a lot of newcomers first game attempt turns out be flawed but I still feel passionate about art, stories, writing characters and world building. I want it too be good to make the time and money invested in it be worth it. I'll be sure to let you all know when it's ready. I appreciate the offer LVGames. Thank you

I can help you brainstorm ideas or give some friendly advice if you like. I've been so busy helping my family and trying to finish my own projects, I'm not sure I have enough free time.
