Hi! I am wondering if anyone would be interested in a system sorta of like this. (It will be in my game called "Octanis: The Legendary Thief").
It will be a Sneaking System with view distance and a couple of other things.
The system is based on how quickly you can sway from danger and keep cool. When in the "Sneak Mode" you will have a stress meter which goes up when seen by someone, and when full you have a breakdown that will make you vulnerable for 6-7 seconds. Once you have been caught by someone you will get an instant game-over screen. The system will include a bunch of other features that add-on and make the system more useful. - A Pickpocketing Add-On: A additional feature which allows you to steal from an NPC and have a chance of getting certain types of items from them. For example, a guard would carry A Trusty Sword and a Lucky Medal, while a peasant may carry Apples and A Pouch of Gold. You would have a special chance to get something more rare, but that's a very unlikely occurrence. The chance of a successful pickpocket would be have a 35% chance of success. The pickpocket system would be based on a new stat called "Pickpocketing" or "PPK". If you have a high PPK stat the chance of a successful pickpocket would be somewhere between a 80% to a 90% chance of success. The system would be useful with the sneak system as if you're in "Sneak Mode" you get a 5% boost in your chances.
- A Lockpicking Add-On: An additional feature that will allow you to open doors that are locked using picks. You can view the video on the "Octanis" page to see how it looks already, but the way it works with the Sneak System is that the difficulty for the locks lower when in sneak mode.
