So I'm new...

So I recently got RPG Maker MV and am loving it. I'm watching a lot of tutorial videos and trying to learn how to do everything i can to make something worth showing off. there's just one thing...


I suck at art. Like, all kinds of art. Fortunately for me I have a friend who i might be able to bribe with cookies to draw some stuff up for me, but the real problem lies in pixel art.


Suppose there was something that I wanted modded from the tile sets provided by the game itself. Who here, if anyone, does pixel art for relatively cheap/free? It seems the community as a whole is willing to help one another out with these sorts of things just because they're all awesome and stuff so any help pointing me in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

Welcome!


There's a resource request forum for free stuff. Plus there's a forum where artists share their edits/original material for MV. (And a forum for resources in general). You can also check out the recent Restaff releases, as it has some MV material as well.


If you want to commission someone, you need to post it in the Classifieds forums, which are hidden from you until you've posted 30 meaningful posts. You can read up on that rule here.

I'm glad you've decided to get into RPG making; MV is a brilliant tool to start off with; and your going the right way of learning things.


It doesn't matter if your bad at art, there are plenty of people you could ask to do stuff for you, right here on the forums!


If I was you though, means as your interests lie in Pixel Art; is learn about that also - Pixel art, is starting to die somewhat in terms of tiles, yet I feel that it brings that nostalgia to a game; so GO AND LEARN IT!
