They don't always do big events like this but over all the community is great year round. There are also regular resource staff releases every couple of months or so and you can even contribute as a guest:

You can also find people giving away extra steam keys they don't need and there are resources a plenty to be found in resource threads. There are also lots of great games to play in the completed games section.

As you spend more time here you're sure to have a blast and will likely come to think of this place as sort of a second online family.
